📜 Terms of At-Will Employment
Employment with Angelus Home Health is at-will, meaning either the employee or the agency may terminate the relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice. No representative of Angelus Home Health, other than the Board of Directors, may alter this at-will status. Any such change must be documented in a written agreement signed by both the employee and the Board

🧭 Employment Procedure
Step 1: Application SubmissionAll applicants must complete and sign the official Angelus Home Health application form, detailing their interests, education, skills, and relevant qualifications. While resumes are welcome, they do not replace the required application form.
Step 2: Pre-Employment InterviewApplicants will participate in an interview to further explore their background, experience, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
Step 3: Comparative EvaluationApplications are reviewed and rated based on a comparative assessment of qualifications across all candidates.
Step 4: Competency TestingApplicants may be asked to complete relevant competency tests. Selection for final interview is based on performance and overall evaluation.
Step 5: Final Interview & DocumentationDuring the final interview, employment terms are discussed. Employment is contingent upon submission of the following documents:

🩺 Employment Health Requirement
All new hires and rehires (after a 6-month gap) who will have patient contact must undergo a physical examination within six months prior to hire or within 15 days of starting employment.
Additionally, personnel must provide documentation of a negative Mantoux/TB test taken within the past 12 months. Annual TB screening is required for all patient-facing staff, and records will be maintained in the employee’s health file
📘 Staff Orientation Program
All newly hired staff members at Angelus Home Health are required to complete a personalized orientation program designed to support their successful integration into the agency. The Director of Patient Services, or an appointed designee, will oversee the delivery of this program, tailoring its content and duration to each individual's educational background, clinical experience, and role-specific needs
Documentation
Participation in the orientation program will be formally recorded using the Orientation Checklist Form, which must be dated and signed by both the employee and the supervising staff member
👥 First-Day Introductions
On their first day, each new employee will be:

Introduced to key members of the supervisory, administrative, and clinical teams

Oriented by their immediate supervisor, who will guide them through staff roles and facility operations

Provided a tour of the office environment, including restrooms, kitchen, utility areas, and the location of policy and procedure manuals
This structured onboarding process ensures that every team member begins their role with clarity, confidence, and a strong sense of connection to our mission and community.
